PDP-A3 is PDP modified with PSA as an add-on Constrained Layer Damping Foil for composite panels.
PDP-A3 is used on existing composite panels. The PSA is used to bond the PDP to the clean surface and then a constraining layer of fiberglass is applied to seal in the PDP to the structure, typically applied in a 1 to 4 ratio. The PDP-A3 should be applied to the nominally flat areas only, as the curved areas of a composite molding are usually too stiff to contribute to the noise problem.
